SENIOR UPDATE

Football: Mick met with Macca last Friday and the planning has already started in preparation for football pre season training and he can’t wait to get started for the 2022 season. Over the next 3 weeks, players will be put in groups of 4-6 and discuss the season gone and plans to improve going into next year.

Netball: We are delighted to confirm that our Head Coach Annie McCartin will be continuing on in her role next season and is already looking forward to 2022 with a very dedicated group of senior players.

Our Best & Fairest count including the Ken Eyers and Gina Kickett medals for the senior football & netball will be online Friday November 5th online via video stream. The intention is to present the Best & Fairest’s count confirming the winners only via the media platform, then have the full presentation a little later in the year in person when restrictions allow.

Works have commenced on the refurbishment of the Gym and we believe it will be close to finished around the start of pre season training.

The netball courts are nearing completion, and we have had confirmation on the approval of brand new changerooms.

With the restrictions starting to ease and the number of venues about to open, things are looking very positive for all community sporting clubs to be able to gather in larger groups and commence training programs. I am sure everyone is keen to catch up and get back into what should be a very exciting year ahead.

Thanks again to everyone involved with the NBFNC, be it coaches/players/support staff/members & supporters for your efforts and commitment this past 12 months during some very difficult times with restrictions & lockdowns and we all look forward to a much freer and exciting 2022.

Mick Ryan Football Director
Ali Driscoll Netball Director.
