Several of our senior playing squad and U/19’s travelled to beautiful Lorne on the weekend for our 2019 preseason camp.
The players did not have much of a chance to take in our gorgeous surroundings at Stribling Reserve. It was straight out onto the ground for group activities and plenty of mental and physical exercises to test both their physical fitness and mental resilience for the season ahead.
Emphasis this year on working together as a team and being responsible for one another, making sure you put the work in and support each other. There is no doubt that our missed opportunities in the finals series last year fuels a fire in the boys for 2019.
Sunday they were up with the birds for circuit work and a ‘recovery’ session on the ground as the sun rose and the tide went out.
It was a successful weekend that pushed the player’s limits and outlined the determination all feel as we start the last seven weeks into our first regular season game.
Our first practice game will be March the 16th against Burnside Football Club at the Ballarat High School oval.
