Unfortunately there will be no football or netball played this weekend due to the state-wide restrictions imposed last night Thursday July 15 at 11.59pm.
The BFNL have today released a media statement with an update on competition.
Key takings are below:
SENIOR FOOTBALL AND NETBALL:
The senior competition will be paused effective immediately. Round 11 would have been the first milestone required by the league for the integrity of the 2021 premiership, in that all clubs will have played each other once.
The intention is to restart the senior competition with a delayed round 11 to meet this requirement detailed above. Impacts on the balance of the home & away fixture will be dependent on the length of the lockdown and the “start-up” time frame for a return to play’
JUNIOR FOOTBALL, NETBALL AND BFLW:
The junior competition will see the coming round of matches removed from the fixture. This round will not see any results recorded, nor games played.
This round of football and netball will not be rescheduled. Competition will resume at the round fixtured as of the date a return to play is allowed.
