GWV Rebels trio in Vic Country under-18 final squad

Three Greater Western Victoria Rebels have earned selection in the final Vic Country under-18 squad.

Rebels captain Callan Wellings, Lloyd Meek and Jordan Johnston are in the 41 players named for the national championships.

Wellings from Trentham and Meek (SMW Rovers) are third year players in the TAC Cup and among six in the over-age category in the team, which is coached by Ballarat’s Matt Battistello.

Jordan Johnston is from North Ballarat City.

Nick Stuhldreier (Bacchus Marsh/Western Jets) and Dylan Landt (Sunbury/Calder Cannons) are in the Vic Metro squad.

Sunday June 11: Allies in Blacktown, NSW

Saturday, June 24; Vic Metro at Punt Road Oval

Friday, June 30: Western Australia at Etihad Stadium

Wednesday, July 5: South Australia at Simonds Stadium

Ballarat Football League duo Nick Stuhldreier (Bacchus Marsh/Western Jets) and Dylan Landt (Sunbury/Calder Cannons) are in contention for the Vic Metro squad, having been part of a 47-strong training squad.
